DUDU'S HOSTEL

DUDU'S HOSTEL is a hostel in Mae Haad, Koh Tao, 350 m from the town centre, with air-conditioned mixed dormitory beds. The larger option measures 44 m² and is named Bunk Bed in Mixed Dormitory Room; the 33 m² option is called Bed in 4-Bed Mixed Dormitory Room. Both have air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a minibar, with a sofa and seating area for time away from the bunk. Tiled floors, a fan and a tea and coffee maker are also common to the two room types.

A safety deposit box, linen, a socket beside the bed and extra-long beds are included in each option's fittings. The room set-up is consistent across the two choices, while the available floor area and dormitory size distinguish them: the 44 m² option has more floor space, and the 33 m² option is the four-bed arrangement.

Air-conditioning and a fan are provided alongside a flat-screen TV and internet services. The shared lounge/TV area gives you a common place to sit, while each dorm room has a sofa and seating area, a tea and coffee maker and a minibar. Tiled floors, a safety deposit box, linen, a socket near the bed and extra-long beds are also among the room fittings; the beds are over two metres long. Shared bathroom facilities include a toilet and shower, with towels and a hairdryer available. Extra towels or sheets carry an extra fee.

Free WiFi is available in public areas, and free private parking is possible on site without a reservation. The entire unit is on the ground floor, and a wake-up service is available. A drying rack and clothes rack provide places for clothing, while toilet paper is supplied in the shared bathroom.

Mae Haad is Koh Tao's ferry-side settlement, with shops, local eateries and the island's main pier close to the west-coast shore. Mae Haad Beach is 450 m from DUDU'S HOSTEL, and Haad Ao Mae is 350 m away. Moov Restaurant, Club & Art Garden and Nagomi Kohtao are both 200 m from the hostel. Banks, pharmacies and shops serve the island here, beside the waterfront where ferry passengers arrive.

Koh Tao has no airport, so the crossing by ferry is the key arrival leg. Lomprayah Koh Tao Pier is 400 m away, making the final stretch possible on foot; pick-up truck taxis also serve routes around the island. Ferries run from Koh Phangan, Koh Samui and Chumphon, with crossings taking about 45–90 minutes from Koh Phangan and around 1.5–2 hours from Samui or Chumphon. A flat brick path links Mae Haad with Sairee in about 15 minutes on foot. Free private parking is available at the hostel without a reservation.

For a swim, Jansom bay is 950 m away, Sairee Beach is 1.1 km away, and Sai Nuan Beach is 1.3 km away. Sairee is the island's main strip, with dive schools, restaurants and beach bars along its long sandy shore, as well as sunset views towards Koh Nang Yuan. Diving is the main activity across Koh Tao; whale sharks are most often seen from March to May and September to October. The west and south coasts, including Mae Haad, are generally calmer from November to March, while the east coast is calmer from April to October.
